Andrei Markov is making his return to NHL ice tonight, after a series of injury-related setbacks that spilled more ink than should have been appropriate.
I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but if you're wondering what to say about his return to the game, here's what to say:

"Welcome back, Andrei. We missed you."

Simple as that. No need to cause drama or wonder whether the season would have been better or worse if he came back earlier or never at all, or how much money was wasted, or any of that. Just welcome him back, because he's still the Andrei Markov we used to watch and cheer for and love.
